DANGEROUS MINDS posted a letter from Gene Wilder with his input on the costume design for Willy Wonka. At first it sounded like painfully nit picky client feedback, but soon realized that genuine thought was put into externalizing the character, giving reasons for the way he looks based on personality and story not just based on design and color.
