The new mystery projects currently filling up my hard drive cover a wide range of content, including...

- a children's book about monsters & peanut butter and banana sandwiches (also with PUNY)
- the Sunday comics
- the president of the United States holding hands with a Minnesota Senator
- the housing market in Oklahoma
The Fish Project mention in a few previous posts is complete...well my part is. The client's have a few loose ends before the final commercial hits the air. I guess I 'm still not supposed to name the product or show the animation but I can say it's an ad for a fantastic new fishing product that will air on all the ESPN channels, the Discovery Channel and (I think) the Nature Channel. When you see an animated newsfish delivering an urgent warning about a shocking disappearance within the fish population...that's my fish.
During the brief downtime I had over the holidays, I tried to stir up and poke as many side projects as I could to keep them alive.
DEAD FRED... Boni wrote up a script based on these storyboard sketches...




Monkey & CAR ...dug up a few old sketches that Greg and I did years ago, updated the Monkey & Car blog, animated CAR walking, found some old rough animation that I will be posting as soon as I get a chance to shoot the test and Greg and Dave will be recording some dialogue over at Della Rocco Studios.


PARADE of MONKEYS... sketched out a crapload of scenes on index cards and tacked them to a cork board so I can stare at it every time I walk through my studio. A process I'm hoping will help me organize and tell a stronger story than the one that currently exists...
